EMPOWERING THE RURAL AND UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS COMMUNITY THROUGH BROAD BASED EDUCATION

Gour Mohan Sachin Mandal Mahavidyalaya is located in a rural area and the students are from the socially disadvantaged and economically weaker sections of the society, who can get entitled to dignified survival only through higher education and employment. Hence,it is essential to nurture and sharpen the talents of every student and to offer them a broad-based education with deep knowledge in the chosen discipline and broad general education in other areas.

Education is redefined in the college, based on current global trends in tertiary education. The college uplifts the student community by offering a global, holistic, broad-based education, which include Integrated Learner- Centric interdisciplinary education through Knowledge Empowerment and Integrated Skill Development Programmes. The collge started a Morning Shift from 2018 to render teaching learning in the CBCS system in an effective manner.For the new shift new teachers and new non teaching employees were recruited.

HIGHER EDUCATION AT MINIMAL COSTS

The college has designed its Fees Structure in a manner that access to higher education is never out of bounds for the students belonging to the marginal sections of the society,a majority section of our students. The admission and tuition fees of the college is the lowestin the entire district. Admission fees ranges from Rs 100/- Rs 260/.Tuition Fees is also kept at a minimal ranging from RS75/-Rs120/.The college waived off all kinds of fees for two consecutive years of the Pandemic.The college to help the economically challenged students has a separate Scholarship and Stipend Cell where students can apply for SC,ST,OBC stipends, Kanyashree for girl students and Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship.
