We, at Gour Mohan Sachin Mandal Mahavidyalaya, work with a vision. Add on Course /Value added courses are offered to both the students and the non-teaching staff. To prepare the students face a competitive world after graduation we offer them a plethora of add-on certificate courses/Value added courses from various departments for skill and knowledge enhancement. The main objectives of the Add on Course are:
- To provide students an understanding of the expectations of industry.
- To improve employability skills of students.
- To bridge the skill gaps and make students industry ready.
- To provide an opportunity to students to develop inter-disciplinary skills.
- To mould students as job providers rather than job seekers.
In a Departmental meeting, a course content with course objective and expected outcome is framed. This is forwarded to the Academic Committee which gives the final approval. A minimum fee is charged from the students. The classes are held both offline and online. The students are awarded a well-earned certificate after evaluation Both in house faculty as well as external experts conduct the course. Some courses are discipline specific and some are multidisciplinary. The add-on course classes do not disrupt the student’s academic schedule and are comfortably held after their class hours.
The IQAC as part of quality initiatives has introduced ERP for better office management. To make the non-teaching staff proficient in handling the module, the Department of Computer Science conducted a 30 hr Add on Course in Basic Computer Skills.
Career Counselling Cell of the college in Collaboration with Mahindra conducted two 30 hr Add on Course to enhance Employability Skill for girl students named as Mahindra Pride Classroom.
Following Add-on Courses/Value Added courses are offered to the students.
